Festival of Football, Hallhill 9am-4pm.  Come and watch the annual end of season tournament for the Dunbar United Colts FC teams. All welcome, free.

Family fun day, Tarmac, Dunbar cement plant, EH42 1SL, 10am-3pm
Come along to our family fun day.  Find out how we make cement at Dunbar. There will be children’s activities, site tours, competitions and the chance to see our huge quarry vehicles.  Access via the A1087 just off the A1.

Puppet show and Workshop, Dunbar Battery, Dunbar Harbour, 11am-12noon
Discover the story of The Little Mermaid being retold in a magical puppet show that will make us fall in love with the sea again! Our heroine will save the day by rescuing her friends aboard the Rainbow Warrior! A tale about environment, mystery and the little fish that we all have inside us!
And after…Build a puppet out of recycling garbage and make it come to life in the workshop that would follow the show!
£2 per person. Suitable for all ages with adult supervision. Weather dependent. Run by Anna Davis and Delia Porras.

Dunbar RNLI Lifeboat Station Open to the public: 11am – 2pm

Crew will be on hand to answer any questions you might have as well as give you a tour around the station. You’ll get to see the inshore lifeboat and the kids will get a chance to jump on board and see all the lifesaving equipment we use. The all weather lifeboat will also be in the harbour for you to get on board and have a tour around. The station will be open from 11am until 2pm on Saturday. We hope to see you all there!

Sea Cadet Open Day, Sea Cadet Unit, Bayswell Road, 1-4pm.
Come and join the Sea Cadets for fun and games with a nautical theme to amuse the whole family.  BBQ and stalls.

Foot tours of Dunbar’s High Street closes
Meet at the John Muir statue outside the Town House, High Street, 2-2.15pm. Tour lasts 1 hour.
Enjoy a fascinating walk around the closes of Dunbar with local Historian and Wordsmith, Roy Pugh. Learn how the closes acquired their name and what names they were known by in the 19th century. Free, limited spaces and advance booking essential via email: Arranged on behalf of Dunbar Trades’ Association.

Midsummer Cycle Ride to Goblin Ha, Gifford with Dunbar Cycling Group
This friendly ride will leave from Bleachingfield Centre, Dunbar at 5pm to head to the Goblin Ha’ for dinner. Booking essential – phone or text Morag Haddow on 07966 491961. We aim to be home before dark, please ensure you have bike lights.

Belhaven Church Fete, hall and grounds at Belhaven Parish Church, Belhaven Road, 2pm
The Civic Queen and Royal Court will open the fete. Outdoor games for parents and children, stalls, books, toys, home baking, bric-a-brac and lots more. All welcome.
