We are delighted to announce that the Dunbar Civic Week programme is now available on our website. Civic Week will begin on Saturday 16th of June with the Community Parade, the Civic Week Queen crowning ceremony, followed by the afternoon Fun Day at Lauderdale Park.
The events from Saturday to the following Sunday include exciting activities such as a the Civic Week fun run, a Kwik Cricket festival, Victorian photographic portrait sessions, annual 5-a-side football tournament, pool party, puppet show, photo exhibitions, Belhaven Church fete, midsummer bike ride, fascinating local tours of Dunbar’s Closes, a Treasure Trail, Civic Week family Ceilidh, dog shows and the famous Stone Stacking event run by James Craig Page and Dunbar Street Art Trail. There are open/fun afternoons at the Sea Cadets, Tarmac Dunbar and Winterfield Golf Club. As our theme is the “Year of Young People”, we are very excited that there will Dunbar Grammar School Roving Reporters attending various events, posting their reviews, soundbites and picture on our social media platforms.
